Fed: Democrats to keep Bartlett as leader
Senator BARTLETT has taken indefinite leave after he drunkenly manhandled Liberal Senator
JEANNIE FERRIS and verbally abused her a week ago.
Acting leader LYN ALLISON says the party's Senate team supports Senator BARTLETT'S
decision to remain as leader.
She says he's given the Senate team a clear commitment to address the personal health
issues he needs to confront.
Speaking in Brisbane, Senator ALLISON said the party anticipates Senator BARTLETT returning
at the beginning of February 2004.
